Check'N

With us every response counts

" Gain peace of mind knowing everyone has been screened before they enter the facility "

Who Can Use Check'N?

Check’N can be used by any size or type of business in an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and meet provincial requirements.

     Customers or Visitors

When you know someone is coming.

Text or email notifications can be sent in advance of their arrival.  Surveys  are completed before an individual arrives

  • This makes Check’N perfect for worksites, clinics, offices, schools, hotels and more!

When you don’t know that someone is coming.

A QR (quick response) code can be printed and posted in your lobby or at your entrances for people to answer the questionnaire before they come in.

  • Perfect for places like restaurants, bars, shops, banquet halls and more!

Check’N  aims to meet operational needs as more employees return to workplaces, minimizing resource requirements and supporting a transition to a culture where people stay at home when they are sick.

Why Check'N?

  • Affordable

Simple to set up and manage. For a few cents per notification, Check’N frees you from the daunting daily task of screening and tracking employees, visitors and customers.

  • Before Arrival

With Check’N you can configure the time you want messages to be sent or use the QR code posted at your entrance.
Check’N gives you peace of mind by letting you know that your employees, visitors, and clients are at low risk before they even arrive.

  • No Cross-Contamination

Check’N eliminates the use of paper and pen, decreasing the risk of cross-contamination. By eliminating the process of screening at the workplace you will also reduce line ups, and save time and money by letting your employees focus on their normal day to day tasks.

  • Custom Instructions

Check’N allows you to add specific instructions as well as the contact number of the person to call in case an employee or visitor fails the screening test.

  • Self-Scheduled

With Check’N employees schedule the next screening while answering the survey each time, so you don’t have to juggle a dozen calendars. There is no better way to survey automatically.

  • Trace and Report

Employers can review the results by creating a report on a specific date range and keep track of the number of employees and visitors who came in during a particular time. Reporting will provide all the information you need in case of an outbreak.

  • Proof of vaccination

Check’N allows uploading and managing with total security and privacy COVID 19 vaccination records or other vaccination exemption documents.

About the Idea

Created by potrace 1.16, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2019

The Concept

In early September 2020, with a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic imminent, the entire IWA team came together with the objective of developing a tool that could help society contain cases and at the same time allow commercialization and continuity of industrial activities.  The outcome was the emergence of the Check'N tool. Our team of developers and experts began designing a tool that would allow the employee/visitor to answer the COVID-19 questionnaire before arriving to the workplace, thus allowing a proactive rather than a reactive response.

The Regulation

Looking in the same direction, on September 25, 2020, the Ontario Government amended Ontario Regulation 364/20 “Rules For Areas In Stage 3” under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020. The amendment added a requirement that, as of September 26, 2020, all businesses – regardless of sector – implement pre-entry screening for all workers and visitors attending the workplace. The decision of the Government of Ontario incorporated into our team an assurance that we were headed in the right direction with the Check’N tool.

The Motivation

IWA team understands that it is everyone's responsibility to ensure that workers are healthy when coming to the workplace to protect each other whether they are employees, patients, volunteers, or visitors. We know that in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19, it is important that all symptoms are identified as soon as possible, contact with other people is minimized, and that we stay home when we are sick.
